PROVENANCE: Tomb of Marshal Jacques II de Matignon (1525–1597), Lieutenant General of Guyenne in 1585 and Constable of France in 1594, in the Chapel of Our Lady, Saint-Sauveur Church, Thorigny-sur-Vire (Manche), the marshal’s fief.
